But there is hope to find a way out of the “slump” and set your heart on fire again.įire is consuming and burns bright and hot. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Satan loves these seasons because it takes our eyes off of Jesus. It is quite easy to fall into a rut and lose your fire for God if we aren’t intentional about cultivating and developing our relationship with Him. These women made a huge impact on the Kingdom because their fire for God burned so brightly! We can usually find time for what we think is important in life but forget all about making God a priority. Have you lost your fire for God? If so, what is keeping your heart from rekindling that flame? Maybe it is time for you to re-evaluate what is important in your life. I guess you can relate it to when a couple first starts dating and how “in love” they are with each other compared to how they are after 40 years of marriage. Older (not by age but by how long they've been a Christ-follower) Christians often don't have that same spark. New Christians are the best because their flames often burn as bright as the sun! Their newfound freedom in Christ literally exudes from everything they do and say.
